Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Dojii (“Dojii,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our mobile app and related services (collectively, the “Services”). Dojii is a cognitive training app that measures and trains 6 core mental skills: memory, speed, language, spatial, reasoning, and focus.

By using Dojii, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. This Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated automatically through your use of the Services, and information from third parties.

Information you provide directly

  • Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider, Supabase; we do not store your password ourselves.
  • Learner profile. During onboarding we ask optional questions to personalize your training, such as your primary goal, how often you want to train, your focus areas across the 6 cognitive domains, your preferred daily training length, your birth year, and obstacles you want to work around. You may skip questions.
  • Profile details. A display name (defaulted from your email if you do not set one), your time zone, and your daily time-commitment preference.
  • Communications. If you contact us for support or otherwise, we collect the content of your messages and your contact details.

Information collected automatically

  • Gameplay and performance data. As you play, we collect your results, scores, response accuracy and timing, your belt and Ki progression across the 6 domains, progression history, streaks, daily plan progress, session durations, and earned achievements.
  • Device and usage data. Technical information such as device and operating-system type, app version, general settings (like time zone), and information about how you interact with the Services, used for reliability and to improve the app.
  • On-device data. Some information (such as your onboarding answers and recent activity history) is stored locally on your device. You can clear locally stored data from the Privacy screen inside the app.

Information from third parties

  • Subscription status. When you purchase a subscription through In-App Purchase, we receive entitlement and plan status from our paywall provider (Superwall) and the Apple App Store (or the applicable app store on your platform).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including creating and managing your account.
  • Measure your cognitive performance, calculate your belts and Ki across the 6 domains, and track your progress and streaks over time.
  • Personalize your experience, including generating tailored daily training plans and insights.
  • Process and manage subscriptions, entitlements, and access to premium features.
  • Send you service-related communications and, where you have enabled them, training reminders and notifications.
  • Improve the quality, performance, and content of our games and Services, including through aggregated and de-identified analysis.
  • Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect our users and our Services.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. AI Processing

To generate cognitive insights and personalized daily plans, we send relevant information — such as your game performance summaries, domain progression, and learner-profile preferences — to a third-party AI provider (Google’s Gemini models) strictly to return results to you. This information is used to produce your insights and recommendations and is not used to identify you. Where AI processing is unavailable, we fall back to template-based results.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Services, including with:

  • Infrastructure and database providers (for example, Supabase) for authentication, storage, and core app operations.
  • AI processing providers (Google) used to generate insights and daily plans from your performance data.
  • Subscription and payment platforms (Superwall and the Apple App Store, or the applicable app store on your platform) for billing, entitlement management, and restoring purchases.
  • Authorities or other parties when legally required, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dojii, our users, or others.
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your associated data in accordance with our technical and legal obligations. Residual copies may persist in backups for a limited period.

6. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and update. You can view and update profile details, including your display name and daily time commitment, inside the app.
  • Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account from the Profile screen in the app. This removes your profile, progression data, game history, daily plans, and related records.
  • Clear local data. You can clear information stored locally on your device from the in-app Privacy screen. Clearing local data does not delete your cloud account.
  • Manage subscriptions. You can purchase, change, or renew a subscription through In-App Purchase using Manage Subscription on the Profile screen. You can also manage or cancel in your Apple ID (or platform) subscription settings, and restore purchases from Profile.
  • Regional rights. Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EEA/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. We honor these rights as required by applicable law. Contact us using the details below to make a request; we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including access-controlled databases with row-level security and encrypted data transmission. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Transfers

Dojii and our service providers may process and store your information in the United States and other countries that may have data-protection laws different from those in your country of residence. Where required, we take appropriate steps to protect your information when it is transferred internationally. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to these locations.

9. Children

Dojii is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
